Eternal Freedom

My life before salvation consisted of constant emotional turmoil and an inability to find spiritual freedom. Entangled in uneasiness and full of fear. Everything, I tried on my own only made my dilemma worse. Nothing the world offered could relieve me from my self-imposed prison. And the harder I tried to force man’s solutions to my problems the deeper I fell into the black hole of hopelessness.

God knew it would take extreme circumstances to grab my attention. When my spiritual life became bankrupt, and I wanted to die, then God rescued me. It wasn’t until God blessed me with His grace, anointed me with the Holy Spirit and introduced me to Christ that I understood spiritual freedom. I’m grateful Christ has taught me the difference between freedom and bondage.

Freedom without Boundaries

The spiritual freedom Christ brings is second to none since it’s not from the world but God. Christ’s death and resurrection freed us from sin and is a great revelation. Our eternal liberty separates us from the secular world and places us in God’s church—Christ.

God’s freedom had no boundaries and experienced under every life predicament including incarceration. Once you discover Christ’s freedom then you have the strength to live free from sin. Christ paid the price for our salvation and this makes us accountable to live by faith.

Christ spoke these words:

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (John 8:36)

Has Christ freed you today?
