Devotional Wednesday
One of the most remarkable realities is becoming God’s chosen one. We can agree that we didn’t decide to be a part of His kingdom. No, He selected us. Indeed, we didn’t control our physical or spiritual births. In both circumstances, God is the reason for both creation and salvation.
To be in the Lord’s favor is exhilarating, extraordinary, and profound. His incredible gift of redemption is full of love and filled with forgiveness. We are fortunate to be placed in Christ and anointed with the Holy Spirit.
This unbelievable oneness with the Holy Trinity cleanses our hearts, minds, and souls. He sanctified us (2 Thessalonians 2:13), purified us (1 John 1:7), and made us worthy (Romans 3:28).
Once God chooses us, then He secures us with an unshakable foundation (John 10:29-30).
Today’s Scripture:
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
(1 Peter 2:9-10, NIV)
