Wednesday Devotional
We can agree that God’s gift of salvation is a remarkable revelation of His undeniable love for our eternal lives. This unimaginable act of our Lord’s compassion proves He is a merciful, forgiving, and faithful Father. It validates His predestination for us to live in His kingdom (Ephesians 1:5).
None of us chose God. He planned for our redemption. This incredible awareness of God’s willingness to save us from the evil one shows us His astonishing grace.
God’s grace activates our faith, places us in Christ, and anoints us with the Holy Spirit. This unbelievable oneness with Him transforms me from a sinner to a sanctified member of His kingdom.
I can’t earn God’s gift of salvation. No, it has nothing to do with me. Indeed, my work doesn’t open the door to His house. The only way in is through Jesus (John 14:6).
Today’s Scripture:
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9, NASB)
