Every day we make choices. Many bring positive results, and others hardship. A choice is a conscious decision to take action on a preference. And this can cause negative results.
Remember, God chose you and placed you in Christ’s care. And in Christ the Holy Spirit captures your heart making known God’s presence. This incredible unity changes everything.
I think you’ll agree with me when I say God’s choice is better than the world’s offerings. Nothing matches God’s grace.
My toughest challenge is making the right choice with finances. Often, I rely on myself and go it alone without asking God’s guidance. I’m not saying it’s wrong making financial plans. God gave us the ability to think.
But, in my case, it’s best for me to include God in my financial decisions.
Here’s the bottom line. When God placed us in His kingdom, this makes us responsible. Don’t forget our rebirth (John 3:1-21), and we no longer live for ourselves (Matthew 16:25).
With this in mind, our choices become anchored in Christian action. Nothing pleases God more than choosing Christ and spread the good news of salvation. And living by His example shows others the reason we accept Jesus.
Each morning upon awaking gives me a choice. I can start my day without placing God first by not praying. Or I can devote myself to Christ by spending quality one-on-one time through prayer and meditation.
The interesting part is when I reach out and talk to God it always goes better than planned. Christ brings me a peace unlike any other. This provides me spiritual strength, and as a result, I walk out the door with courage. And this gives me the best outlook to start my day.
But when I refuse to rely on God things head for trouble. Most often I find myself frustrated because nothing goes right. I’m fighting or trying to control the circumstance. And unless I pause and surrender myself to Christ, it will not stop in causing problems.
Here’s something we both can agree on, God is always there waiting for us to choose His way. We know this truth from the countless times we turned our lives over to His protection. And every time He provides us with more than expected.
This is heart warming. Thanks. Mamlois
