Here’s something we both can agree on is God’s gift of salvation places us in Christ. This essence of eternal life spares us from damnation (Matthew 6:22-23).
And without Jesus, my life remains outside of heaven (John 14:6).
Salvation isn’t the absence of spiritual warfare. In fact, its essence brings an inner strength beyond human ability because it comes from God. And this incredible power overcomes any trial or tribulation (Matthew 19:26).
Salvation comprises three characteristics. First, one must admit God gives salvation (Ephesians 2:8-10). Second, accepting Christ as God’s Savior (John 3:16) the third condition is the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).
This Holy Trinity provides every Christian with the spiritual tools necessary to live in a world riddled with evilness. For this reason, our secured place in God’s kingdom transpires!
The Essence of God’s Salvation
I’m sure you’re with me on this one. God exists and created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). Here’s why this is important because, without this knowledge, no one can understand His kingdom (Romans 18:21).
In the book of Genesis, God inspired Moses to write His truth. In its first three chapters, everything humanity needs to know becomes exemplified.
Chapters one and two explain God’s creations. The third chapter gives testimony to Adam and Eve’s fall from His grace (Genesis 3:1:7). Their disobedience of God’s commandment (Genesis 2:16-17) cost them life in the garden of Eden.
Yet, God saved them (Genesis 3:22). How outstanding is that?
From this point forward, the Bible illustrates His wish for everyone’s salvation (1 Peter 3:9).
The Essence of Christ the Savior
I think you’ll agree with me when I say Christ is God’s ultimate salvation for humanity.
In the Old Testament, our Father used prophets as the way to communicate His road to salvation. God’s trusted servants showed them redemption. Yet, many refused to hear His commandments. But God showed Isaiah His plan for Christ (Isaiah 7:14).
With this in mind, we understand God’s only Savior is Christ.
Throughout the New Testament, Jesus’ saving grace emerges. In fact, each Gospel reference this.
Matthew recorded this:
She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21).
In Mark’s testimony he writes:
and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1:15)
Apostle Luke wrote:
“Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God. (Luke 12:8)
Disciple John reported this:
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. (John 5:24)
As if that’s not enough evidence, the scriptures of the entire New Testament illustrate this, heightening Jesus as God’s Savior. From Acts of the Apostle to Revelation, many truths to this emerge.
The Essence of the Holy Spirit
One of the greatest characteristics of salvation is the Holy Spirit. It’s in this Spirit every believer receives God’s wisdom through faith in Christ.
Once our Father saves a soul, he places it in Christ and His Spirit enters their hearts. And this rebirth (John 3:3) bears witness to God’s incredible gift of salvation.
Because of the Holy Spirit, our understanding of Christ’s truth increases. This supplies us with solutions reserved for Jesus’ intervention.
For example, over the past couple of years, each of us, including unbelievers, experienced the reality of powerlessness. The coronavirus (Covid-19) caused a worldwide pandemic leading to sickness and death. Despite the efforts of the medical profession, this virus continues to plague the planet with human causality.
Those who reject Christ respond to this global crisis with fear of impending doom. They consume themselves with anxiety, dread, and uncertainty. Their bondage of self keeps them in a state of confusion and prevents them from moving past this incurable illness.
But people who Christ saved face this trouble with faith, hope, and courage (Ephesian 6:13). Here, we see the fruits of the Holy Spirit manifesting a life anchored in Christ’s deity.
I’m not saying Christians don’t get the virus. No, many got sick, and a few died. The point is our spiritual wisdom allows us to accept this pandemic by relying on Christ for the answers and ministered through the Holy Spirit.
Christian salvation brings an unshakable trust in God. This reality of God’s existence opens the door to His kingdom and places us in Christ’s care. And with Jesus, nothing can overtake our place in heaven.
