God’s Judgment on Man’s Injustice

I’m sure you’re with me on this one, God’s judgment is unavoidable (2 Corinthians 5:10). No matter how much injustice man inflicts on others, it doesn’t change the fact of Christ’s authority (Revelation 22:12).

It’s difficult witnessing the mistreatment people receive from evil-doers. This display of wickedness is troublesome to the heart, causes emotional distress, and leads to an unsettling soul. For this reason, God created the human conscience to know from good and evil.

Injustice Problems

In recent times, an increase in violence caused by man’s injustice continues to unravel. For example, a criminal suspect died from police brutality (U.S.). It triggered public outrage and erupted protests leading to innocent deaths.

I can almost hear you thinking protests lead to positive changes. Yes for the most part they do but others are evil.

The civil rights movement (USA) of the 1960s led to black U.S. citizenship. Those brave activists stood up to the injustice of inequality that they and their ancestors experienced. Many lost their lives fighting for equal rights. And their sacrifice gave birth to recent laws ending discrimination.

On the negative side, wicked protests are violent and try to use force to implement changes. For example, ANTIFA (Anti-Fascist) is a group claiming to fight fascism but use brutality to submit people to their agenda. They train each other in combat tactics causing physical harm to their opposers and are unwilling to negotiate their viewpoints.

When we try to use individual force for justice, the outcome isn’t desirable. A point often overlooked is how powerless humans are regarding changes from wrongdoing. Why is that? Because we do not change others’ hearts. God placed that in Christ’s hands (John 3:18).

God’s Perfect Judgment

Here’s something we both can agree on God knows the human heart (Matthew 9:4). Yes, He sees everything and judges according to each person’s actions. Remember, God’s timing comes on His terms. And this is where people run into trouble because they’re impatient.

God chooses those He saves (Ephesians 2:8) and establishes governments to help judge lawbreakers (1 Peter 2:13-17).

Yes, the Lord controls humanity. First, He created humans in His image (Genesis 1:27) and when Adam and Eve fell from His grace passed judgment on their disobedience (Genesis 3:14-24).

The Old Testament highlights God’s judgment. Besides man’s fall from the Garden of Eden, several accounts of His justice unfold before our eyes. When Cain killed Abel, God filled his life with misery (Genesis 4:11-12).

But the greatest illustration of His wrath is when He flooded the earth to eradicate the evilness of man (Genesis 7). Those are only two of many judgments God displayed before Christ lived on earth.

Christ Final Judgment

But in the New Testament, our Father placed His power of judgment in Jesus. I think you’ll agree with me when I say Christ separated believers from the ones who didn’t accept God’s truth. Often, He passed judgment on the Pharisees (Matthew 23:1-36). Christ will return and complete God’s eternal plan (Revelation 1:7).

It’s in Jesus we find the wisdom to know how God judges humanity. Without Christ, the Holy Spirit stays elusive and keeps the knowledge of the Father’s judgment hidden. Abiding in Jesus is the key to heaven.

As shown above, God doesn’t turn His eyes away from man’s injustice. I trust His judgment plan and place my faith in Christ. This prepares me for the day I face Jesus and receive my judgment!

What’s your outlook on God’s judgment?
