Regeneration

Devotional Wednesday

One of God’s incredible gifts of salvation is regeneration. When He saves a person, it begins with a new birth. This transformation from being separated from Him to entering His kingdom changes the heart of one’s soul. It’s through the Holy Spirit that we discover God’s presence.

Christ makes known that the essence of regeneration begins with becoming a new creation. We find this truth in Jesus’s conversation with Nicodemus.

Apostle John, in his Gospel, said:

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. (John 3:5, NKJV)

Here, we uncover God’s divine regeneration. Christ, without hesitation, unveiled the spiritual baptism. This holy purification comes from God through the anointing of the Holy Spirit. It’s in His Spirit that the gift of salvation emerges (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your gift of regeneration. I give You all the glory. Take me and do with me as You will. Guide me in all my affairs. How can I better serve You, Christ, the Holy Spirit, and those around me. I ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
