Satan’s Undeniable Existence

Satan’s undeniable existence isn’t a widespread discussion. No, many people would rather not talk about Satan. However, the evidence of his presence can’t be ignored. Indeed, his reality lurks through the defilement of the heart (Mark 7:20-23) and his warfare against humanity (Ephesians 6:12).

Satan’s Priority

Satan’s sole priority is the separation of humanity from God’s divine love. Adam and Eve were the first to fall into his deceptive plan. In the Garden of Eden, God provided them with abundant food. The Lord gave them the freedom to choose from various trees (Genesis 2:16), but there was one in which He commanded them not to consume its fruit.

This tree is known as the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:17). When Satan confronted Eve, she listened to his cunning reasoning about disobeying God.

God said to Adam and Eve:

but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Genesis 2:17, NKJV

Satan told Eve:

The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! “For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:4-5, NASB 1995

As shown above, Satan placed doubt in Eve’s mind by promising her that if she disobeyed God, death wouldn’t be the outcome. He guaranteed she would become like God and know good and evil without dying.

Satan used pride as his priority to separate Adam and Eve from God (Genesis 3:6), causing shame (Genesis 3:7) and leading them to fear God (Genesis 3:10). Those three universal truth from disobedience hold today.

Jesus exposed Satan’s existence in corrupting the human heart.

Christ shared this revelation:

And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders  thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.” Mark 7:20-23, NKJV

Jesus unearthed these thirteen sins that Satan uses to defile God’s divine holiness. They place a wedge between humanity and God’s sovereignty. Each of them is designed to render us powerless over their paralyzing grip. Their evilness causes wicked deeds that God deems unfit for His eternal kingdom.

Before God saved me, defilement had its hold on me. Pride led the onslaught of this spiritual malady. Evil thoughts were a constant mindset that bombarded my thinking and kept my focus on wicked deeds. Fornication was my sexual preference, disregarding God’s truth on sex. Deceit exposed my phoniness and led to foolishness.

Fast-forward to today’s generation. Satan’s priority hasn’t changed. No, he is thriving. The most glaring reality of his existence is his attack on family. For example, same-sex marriages and transgenderism are the tools he uses to abolish God’s divine creation of marriage (Genesis 1:28, Genesis 2:24). Abortion is another way he uses to squash procreation.

Satan's Undeniable Existence

Besides Satan’s aim at destroying family, hatred of God is on the increase, causing people to hate each other. Also, bearing false witness against neighbors is causing tremendous character damage.

Apostle Paul provides us with divine wisdom on Satan’s battlegrounds.

Paul spoke these words:

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12, ESV

A point often overlooked is that Satan uses outside influences to achieve his priority. The devil uses governments, ungodly laws, lawlessness, wickedness, and calamities to place a wedge between us and God. We his control of these realties throughout the world.

As seen above, Satan’s undeniable existence is still as dominant today as in past human history. This is only a brief discussion of Satan’s priority.

Christ’s Victory Over Satan

Christ’s victory over Satan proves God’s omnipotence. Jesus’s triumph over Satan’s dominance shows God’s incredible love for humanity (John 3: 16-17). Our heavenly Father gave Christ absolute authority over Satan.

We know this because Satan tried to tempt Jesus in the wilderness. The devil used selective scripture to entice Jesus (Mattew 4:1-11). Satan’s goal was to make Christ glorify him instead of God. However, he couldn’t and went from Jesus defeated.

The most significant proof of Christ’s victory came at the cross. Indeed, Jesus’s death at Calvery sealed humanity’s new covenant with God (Luke 22:20). No other event in Christ’s ministry demonstrated the devil’s inability to prevent Jesus from fulfilling God’s promise of eternal glory through His death. Remember, Christ’s death is the forgiveness of sin (1 Corinthians 15:3), which Satan can’t stop.

Christ's Vicotery Over Satan

It’s in Christ that we discover that Satan’s presence is tangible. This is a brief proclamation of Jesus’s victory over the devil’s existence. A more in-depth understanding lies within a personal relationship with Christ.

Final Thoughts

Given these points, Satan’s existence is undeniable. The world exemplifies this truth through its ungodly behavior. One of the characteristics of a Christian is to acknowledge the devil’s presence and abidance in Jesus to combat his temptations.

Do you believe in Satan’s existence?

Satan is certainly alive and well. I suffer from his wrath.through depression And anxiety every day. Satan couldn’t be happier. The best advice I Can give is as soon as something dark enters your mind, turn away immediately and start to pray. It serves as a distraction from that evil thought and you get to spend some more time with God because of it. God bless everyone!
